Gift Guide for Entrepreneurs

As an entrepreneur who (mostly) works from home, I have been leaning into a more minimalist lifestyle. It can be distracting trying to complete assignments and being surrounded by so much stuff. But the truth of the matter is some things make life as an entrepreneur easier, and therefore, more enjoyable!

When the holidays came and I was asked what I would like to receive as gifts, I thought of items that were both practical and useful for a small business owner.

I’ve put together a list of my favorite products that I use on a daily basis and that have improved my daily routine and workflow as an entrepreneur.

Many of these gifts would also make great gifts for clients! I love to give my web design clients a gift to show my appreciation for them putting their trust in me. A thoughtful gift can really take the experience you’re providing to a client from good to great.

Gift cards and fruit baskets are nice, but a more personal gift can go a long way in creating a long-lasting client relationship.

Tech Gadgets for More Organization and Efficiency

Air Tags 4-Pack

Are you one of those people who is constantly misplacing your keys? (or AirPods, cellphone, purse, wallet?). Just me? These are an easy way to keep track of your belongings.

I definitely recommend these if you are someone who travels for work. Hook them onto your luggage to make sure your belongings make their way to your final destination.

AirPod Pro + Case

If you like to rock out to music while work, listen to inspiring podcasts, or use the Peloton app for your daily workout, these headphones block out all the outside noise distracting you from reaching your goals. They come with different size earbud replacements so you can find the perfect fit.

I use this case to protect them and make sure I have them on me at all times. Easily hook them on to your keys, purse, or water bottle so they are always within reach.

Portable Charger

Of course, when you can work from your phone (aka anywhere) your battery is liable to run out. Use this portable charger for your iPhone or Tablet so you can maintain your online presence no matter where you are.

Extra Long Charger

I first bought this extra long charging cable when I was going into the hospital to deliver by first baby. As a nurse, I knew this was not something hospitals provided. Who knows if I’d be in good enough condition to reach over to grab my phone on the nightstand. God forbid!

I love the nylon braided cord on this charger and the fact that it is 10 feet long. It comes in a three pack so you can keep one in your office, one in your kitchen, and one in your car- wherever you may be using your phone for work!

Kindle Paperwhite

When you travel, the last thing you want to do is take up valuable luggage space with your books. This kindle allows you to bring multiple books on your trips and doesn’t blind you with blue light that is sure to keep you up at night. I had my first kindle for nearly 10 years before I stepped on it and cracked the screen so they are definitely built to last and worth the investment.

Laptop

Yes, as a virtual assistant you can probably do a lot from your phone but eventually you’ll need an upgrade. Working on a laptop is much more efficient. If you prefer PCs over Macs like I do, this computer has been amazing for me. Lots of memory and speed for about ~$1000.

Urevo walking treadmill for under desk

I have been loving my Urevo Walking Pad.

Health and Wellness Inspired Gifts

Walking Pad

Walking pads seem to be all the rage among professionals working from home and for good reason. When you’re not working in an office with others it can be easy to get sucked into work and lose all track of time.

Scheduling breaks to eat is one thing, but what if you could exercise while you work? Who doesn’t love to kill two birds with one stone.

There are a lot of walking pads out there with reviews that are not so hot. The belt being the biggest problem. Luckily, I’ve done the homework for you and this one is a keeper. I’ve been using it for months and it has held up great.

“The sturdy running machine allows you to run up to 7.6MPH with frame up and walk up to 3.8MPH under desk by the Remote Control.”

Magnesium Supplement

Do you feel stressed and on edge on the daily? Is your jaw clenched right now? Having trouble sleeping? Magnesium can help with all of that! Obviously, consult your physician before trying but I have been taking magnesium supplements for the last few months and have noticed a tremendous improvement in my mood and stress levels. This brand was recommended to me by my doctor because it is more gentle on the tummy.

Meditation Book

My gem of a friend gifted me this book for my birthday and I have been reading a passage from it every night. It is full of positive affirmations and easy to make mindset changes that help me feel more at peace at the end of my day.

Having a nighttime routine is said to calm your anxious mind and help your brain know that it is time for sleep. I don’t have much time for reading these days so having a page or two set out for me is perfect!

Standing Desk

If you have a walking pad, why not kill two birds with one stone by walking while you work! This desk is perfect for that and spacious enough to hold all of your office needs.

Eye mask

Working night shift as a nurse, I got used to sleeping with an eye mask on during the day and when I would have a hard time falling asleep I would listen to an audiobook or meditation using my AirPods. Then they would fall out of my ears and I’d wake right up.

This sleeping mask allows you to listen to your night time music or meditations without worrying about that! The sound is great and it’s comfortable to sleep with even if you’re a side sleeper.

Massage Gun

Does your husband give you nightly foot and shoulder rubs? No? Me either. So I have resorted to this massage gun. I bought it while pregnant with my first and use it for all my aches and pains.

Atomic Habits

You’ve probably seen quotes from this book circling the internet. Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. There are so many good takeaways that you can incorporate to better your business, health, parenting, and more. Everyone can benefit from good habits, and this book gives you hope in accomplishing your goals by providing easy to implement strategies.

For Content Planning and Creating

Ring Light

Are you like me and swore you’d never buy a ring light? Yeah, turns out, the greatest ideas come around 10 o’clock at night when it’s pitch dark outside and all you have is a yucky overhead light. This light has multiple settings and colors to choose from with an adjustable base and phone holder.

Selfie Stick Tripod

Perfect for when you want to record a quick reel or Instagram story, this phone tripod is excellent. I keep it on my desk so it’s always ready when I feel inspired.

Blue Yeti Microphone for Podcasting or Streaming

Podcasts are all the rage these days and if you plan on starting one, or being a guest on one, having a decent microphone is a must. Listen to my first ever podcast interview here and you can tell that I did not have a quality microphone at the time.

This mic plugs into a Mac or PC easily and has volume control right on the base. It is worth the price in my opinion.

Audio-Technica Microphone

Another quality microphone for podcasting or creating videos for your YouTube channel or course. Because no one wants to sit through hours of video with terrible sound quality.

Paperage Notebook

No matter how many apps you have to stay organized, you can always use a notebook to write down those lists and thoughts that keep you up at night. This one just feels fancy and comes in many cute colors. Easy to gift with a nice pen or other small but useful office supplies.

My Favorite Pens

Zebra Pens Z-Grip Retractable Ball Point Pens

Paper Mate Felt Tip Flair Pens

Everyone has pens they prefer over others and these are my go-tos. The Flairs are great for color coding calendars and the Zebras are great for regular use.

Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker with frother

Move over Nespresso, there’s a new coffee maker in town.

For Food and Coffee Lovers

Ninja Coffee Maker w/ Frother

Who doesn’t love a nice cup of joe in the morning? Or at 2pm? Or at midnight…Some of the prices for fancy espresso machines are outrageous so when I stumbled upon this one I thought it was the perfect solution.

It can brew a big batch of coffee, single cup, or espresso for your specialty drinks and they all come out tasting amazing. It takes up a lot less counter space than other coffee makers and I just love all of the settings it has.

Glass Coffee Mugs

If you’re drinking a fancy coffee, you might as well have a fancy mug, too! These make you feel like you’re sipping espresso at a fancy Parisian cafe.

Ninja Air Fryer

Cooking is sometimes the vain of my existence after a long day of work and parenting. You can use this air fryer for so many things! Chicken nuggets for the kids, broccoli and zucchini for dinner, pizza, bagels, even a whole chicken roast! This replaced our air fryer and toaster oven and now we hardly ever use our actual oven. If you’re not air fryin’, you’re lyin’ (or something like that).

Yeti Coffee Mug

How many times do you have to reheat your coffee in the morning? Well, no more with this Yeti mug that keeps your hot drinks hot for hours.

Reduce Water Tumbler

Drink more water. That’s something that is so easy for me since buying this tumbler. I know everyone likes their Stanley’s but they are overpriced in my opinion and the lids are too dang hard to get off.

This one is great, lightweight, and holds 40 oz of water. Obsessed is an understatement.

So What Do You Think?

Is there anything I missed from this list? What gift would you like to receive most?
