Why Showit is Perfect for Beginner Web Designers

I will say, if you’re coming from Squarespace of another website builder, there will definitely be a bit of a learning curve. There is almost TOO much flexibility on Showit and I can almost always tell when a website is built on Showit because it is easy to mess up the spacing or have buttons that do not have consistent styles across all pages. An easy fix once you know how to adjust the px of different shapes in Showit but something I see a lot of beginner web designers on Showit miss.

When I took this course, I gained so much more than just technical skills. Becca’s insights into client processes, Showit SEO basics, and efficiency hacks were game-changers. Her step-by-step guidance gave me the confidence to tackle real projects on Showit and gave lots of creative design ideas.
She didn’t go too much into the sales or SEO strategy of a website’s layout and design, but I can tell she has the knowledge, just didn’t get into it in this specific course.
2. Design Your Day Rate
If you’re ready to scale your business and increase your income as a Showit Web Designer, Becca’s Design Your Day Rate course is a must. This course teaches you how to create a streamlined process for offering day rate services—an incredibly profitable model for web designers.
While I haven’t been able to implement her strategies yet (hello 3 kids under 4 years old!), it did open my mind up to the possibility of delivering a website in a week which I never felt confident enough to do before!
Not only did this boost my income, but it also helped me create a better work-life balance, and not get stuck with never-ending client projects.

Next on my list to purchase is the Library, where you get access to 130+ site canvases you can plug and play as you design for your own website, or for your clients. I’m also considering Passive Passion Project but I already have a template shop using Squarespace templates and it is a LOT of work to set up so Im not sure I’m ready to do that again for a Showit Template shop. TBD!
